Local news reporter who’s figuring it out.

For Castro Courier, a San Francisco monthly with circulations of 15,000 prints, I am the managing editor and design consultant.

At San Francisco AIDS Foundation, I contribute the organization’s digital platform as web content editor.

HEAR+QWERE, conversation salons highlighting queer people of color that I moderate, is an international series exploring the experience of LGBTQ's marginalized and most vibrant members.

Previously, as contributing editor of international travel site GayCities, I generated editorial content, responded to traffic trends, and maintained relationships with public figures in the LGBTQ community.

With over five years as a San Francisco area journalist, interviewing the first African American female mayor, London Breed, during her campaign and rainbow flag creator Gilbert Baker are shining feathers in my writing cap.

I contribute regularly to Bay Area Reporter and worked with HoodlineWestside Observer and Mid-Market News as a freelance reporter.

Culture, fashion and accessory blog WhosThatBag was established in 2013 to honor my mother.
